A Sooner Troop Withdrawal

On Tuesday December 1, 2009, President Obama announced that he will send 30,000 additional U.S. troops to Afghanistan by next summer and begin withdrawing forces in July 2011. This is a great plan but it seems that the United States is aiding the Afghani government too much. By having NATO forces in Afghanistan so long the Afghani government is not working as hard to care for its citizens. In light of this, we the undersigned petition to send in fewer troops and begin a slow pullout of troops in 2010. This plan would have all troops out of the country of Afghanistan by early or mid 2011 and this would also cause the Afghani government to have to step up and care for their own citizens and to govern their own country without all this foreign interference.
