Albany Waterfront - Let It Be

We urge the Eastshore State Park planners, all concerned city council members, state legislators and decision makers in the California State Park system to leave the Albany Waterfront just as it is.
Any "development" - playing fields, more parking/paving, motor vehicle access to the bulb, removal of artwork or exposed construction debris from the underlying landfill or plantings - will disrupt the miracle of natural reclamation in progress.
This open space is used by widely diverse users, where plants, birds and wildlife thrive in coexistence with off-leash dogs and their owners (both able and disabled), children at play or on school fieldtrips, birders, hikers, fishermen, artists and many others. It is unique in the entire San Francisco Bay Area, and its community of caring users shows the best in the values of the East Bay people. Let it be!
