We the undersigned are child abuse and or child molestation survivors, friends & family of survivors, friends & family of a murdered child, or concerned citizens who wish to help protect America's children.
We come to you our political leaders today and request in unanimity, decisive action with regards to sentencing of those convicted of sexual assault, murder, or other violent acts towards children.
We request a mandatory minimum sentence of fifty years in prison without the possibility of parole for those convicted of violent crimes against children. We believe that those who have been convicted of more than one violent act towards a child, should be sentenced to life in prison without the possibilty of parole.
We ask that all tangible assets belonging to those convicted of harming a child, be impounded and sold. Proceeds of all sales would go directly to survivors and victims families.
We believe that children are God's greatest gift and that current laws are not effectively preventing or deterring, violence against children.
We know first hand the effects of violence towards children. We believe the time has come for America to stand up against those who wish to harm our future, our children.
