An Appeal for a Sequel to "Catch that Kid"

2. We, the undersigned fans, do hereby appeal to the Fox theatrical productions decision-makers to approve and green-light a sequel to the aforementioned film. It is our contention that Catch that Kid represents an unrealized potential for the enjoyment of fans of this film and its actors.
3. To site precedence for our appeal, we ask you to remember the will of the fan-base whose efforts were enough to rescue the original Star Trek television series from cancellation at NBC for a third season. Star Trek has become the single largest franchise entity for Paramount, both on the strength of its fan loyalty, and its smart storytelling. As well, MGM was willing to take the leap of faith in making a sequel to the clownish Agent Cody Banks after failing to return a profit, and Miramax saw fit to produce three absolutely silly and farfetched Spy Kids films. To a profit, no less. We, the undersigned, believe the potential for a successful sequel to Catch that Kid, with its vastly more appealing stars, Kristen Stewart, Max Thieriot, and Corbin Bleu, and more plausible premise, deserves strong consideration and support.
4. In view of these precedences, we believe our collective voice carries sufficient weight to make such a decision both viable and very potentially profitable to the Fox organization. We, the fans, because of our allegiance to Catch that Kid, and its principal stars Stewart, Thieriot and Bleu, are a reservoir of untapped patronage waiting to be served. We are, for the most part, of an age on the verge of entering your market-analysis ideal target range, ages 18-34, and represent billions of dollars in current and future revenue from our movie-going habits. Many fans are already in this demographic, and share our desire to see a sequel to Catch that Kid.
5. It would be in the best interest of ourselves as well as Fox to move forward in a determined fashion to make the subject of this appeal a reality. A screenplay...written by a capable screenwriter, made bulletproof to the bilious carping of talentless critics, with a positive message, and empathetic towards an intelligent, youthful audience--with disposable spending cash. A director...with a deft understanding and vision to breathe life into such a story, and most importantly, re-casting of the original stars into their signature roles. We, the undersigned, believe this formula can reproduce in a sequel to Catch that Kid" the same manifestation as happened with Star Trek, the Motion Picture, in its time the most expensive movie ever made to box-office disappointment, then revived to great critical and financial success with Star Trek: the Wrath of Khan, because of an understanding of inherent potential, intelligent filmmaking, and most importantly fan enthusiasm. Fans, like us, your customers. We pay your bills, and ask that you take the bold, innovative steps to deliver the product that we, the current and future fans of Catch that Kid and its stars, want, and set a standard of excellence.
