Before MobileMe existed, iTunes users had to have an account to purchase music, books and films. You signed up with your e-mail address such as Microsofts Hotmail or Googlemail, then along came MobileMe and the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices but you continue to purchase Apps with your old account, now we have iCloud on the way, and the millions of iDevice users out there have invested a great deal of money in music, apps etc. What happens if you have more than one account?
What many people don't realise is that when you sign up for a MobileMe account, that account also generates an iTunes account. Which means that you can't use your XXX@me.com ID with your previous iTunes account, so if you want to keep everything in one place and stay in sync with just one account you'll have to either re-invest in all those cool apps that you've purchased and close down your old iTunes account, or be content with having two separate accounts, one with all the content you've purchased and one for keeping your calendar's, contacts and e-mail in sync with your devices and computers.
This is not good enough, this page is for all the frustrated people who have been loyal Apple customers and deserve to be taken seriously.
Join this group if you have something to say, want to share a temporary fix and want to make Apple aware that they need to do something about this.
It is possible to merge and consolidate accounts, it's just up to us to make it happen and show Apple that we will stand up for ourselves.
The more people that join, the bigger the impact we will have, and Apple will have to bow to the pressure.
