This is a petition to reinstate the intramurals program at Asbury Elementary School. It is an after school program in which fifth grade students can learn and participate in various sports, games, and activities. This program keeps the kids active and healthy, and gives them a place to be able to hang out and play with all their friends. In todays society when the majority of people are overweight it is important to let kids know at a young age that they need to stay active and take care of their body. It is with that in mind that we ask to reinstate the Asbury intramural program.

Intramurals support MTS current wellness policy as well as serving as a feeder system to our middle and high school sports programs. For very little $ it provides students with quality social time with classmates while getting kids away from electronics.

I believe it is in the best interest of our children to give them opportunities to be active and have a good time doing it. This program accomplishes both! Please reinstate it!
