Saban Entertainment should allow the company Media Blasters to bring an unedited version of the original Japanese sentai (Power Rangers) to the US.
In addition, Media Blasters should in ways take this petition seriuosly as it is a sign to show your company (Media Blasters) that many American fans are interested in seeing the original Japanese Power Rangers and all related Toei Japanese Heroes and other tokusatsu shows in the United States. In addition, Saban Entertainment and Toei should take this petition seriously. Toei Company is the Japanese company that allows Saban Entertainment to bring Power Rangers here to the United States but by changing the original shows to supposedly be more towards Americans.
The petition is to provide some goals:
1. To provide an unedited version of Japanese sentai and tokusatsu shows in the USA with English subtitles.
2. To provide more exposure of Japanese culture and cinema into the already melting pot of the United States.
3. To provide more business opportunities for Toei, Media Blasters, and Saban Entertainment with their already continuing growth in the sell of American Powers.
Titles that fans and would be customers are interested in seeing are Goranger, Battle Fever J, Liveman, Fiveman, Jetman, Zyuranger, Megaranger, Go Go V, Timeranger, Masked Rider Kuuga, Masker Rider V3, Masked Rider Black, Masked Rider Black RX, Ninja Captor, Shaider, Spielban, and Metaldar are just some examples of the shows many fans and would be customers if these titles were available in the United States.
We understand Saban Entertainment may not be interested in selling the rights of Japanese sentai shows to Media Blasters but Saban Entertainment, please consider the business opportunities, profit, and capital gains with letting Media Blasters to be able to sell original Japanese sentai and tokusatsu shows. This concept already works with the companies of Nelvana, DIC, 4Kids Entertainment, Funimation, and Pioneer for Japanese anime shows already shown in the US. Nelvana and DIC has shown the dubbed version of some various anime show while Pioneer has provided the Japanese version of these anime. So Saban Entertainment if you are afraid or whatever the reason maybe, consider the statement I have written above.
If you are still undecided, after much debate, whether or not your policy regarding the censorship and editing of releasing only the American version of Power Rangers then your policies should change, we suggest that you place a poll in one of your web site and e-mail your customers about the poll too, letting the customers decide among themselves. Several choices, including Saban will continue to make American Power Rangers while Media Blasters will be allow to release the Japanese version of Powers. One would have to make it clear that the outcome will influence the path that the popular with many American fans to bring a Japanese version of the Power Rangers will eventually come to reality. Placing this poll on your web site would also be advisable, to get the most responses possible from your loyal customers and other people.
In summary, we, the American fans who enjoy tokusatsu and sentai, are concerned about the path that Saban Entertainment has continue to take and to the downfall of American Power Rangers in the futures. We have enjoyed your previous efforts Saban Entertainment, and applaud you on your work to bring sentai (Power Rangers) to an English-speaking American audience. However, we prefer that there be a separate version of the Japanese sentai and tokusatsu shows, geared toward fans of all ages. We respect the wishes of parents, and suggest that, if it is made, that it be clearly labeled to avoid confusion. This, and several changes in other areas, would, we feel, make sure that the American Power Rangers shows are not biased toward any particular group of fans, and increase the amount of sales and profits from those who feel alienated by the current censorship of these great Japanese shows. We hope that you consider our ideas, and we wish you luck in whatever path you choose.
