Axe all the current daytime television programmes on both BBC-1 and ITV-1. In replacement of all this tripe, use the daytime to repeat all the old quality programmes that were shown on BBC-1

We the undersigned request that all the current daytime television programmes on both BBC-1 and ITV-1 are axed altogether.

How the BBC and ITV can justify all that cheap made television on the air in the daytime is beyond me. Cash in the Attic, Bargain Hunt, Trisha, Jerry Springer, programmes about buying, selling and decorating houses, cheap made cooking and gardening programmes, cheap made quiz shows with diabolical formats, its all utter rubbish and wants taking away. In replacement of all this tripe, daytime television on both BBC-1 and ITV-1 should be used to repeat all the old quality programmes that were shown on BBC-1 and ITV years ago at prime time e.g. The Brothers, Howards Way, Big Deal, Juliet Bravo, Bread, Brush Strokes, Steptoe and Son, The Sweeney, Rumpole of the Bailey, Rising Damp, Within These Walls, Fresh Fields, Home to Roost, etc to name but a few, do you get the picture here. There is one thing for sure, neither the BBC or ITV would make decent brand new quality programmes for the daytime because 1) they would cost too much money and 2) you are 100\% guaranteed not to get large audiences watching in the daytime. People are at work, college and school etc and neither corporation will spend large amounts of money on making decent brand new quality programmes for the daytime if they aren't going to be well received, which they won't be believe me. What does annoy me though with the BBC and ITV, is the fact that they spend all this money on extra BBC and ITV channels that the majority of the British public don't want. The BBC and ITV have got plenty of money, they must have and anybody who tells you otherwise is not speaking the truth. How come they have always got plenty of money to launch new channels, but never any money to make decent brand new quality programmes for BBC-1, BBC-2 and ITV-1 thats what gets me. The BBC and ITV have both got plenty of money, what they haven't got at either corporation is anybody with a bloody brain on how to spend money wisely.
