Backdating On Livejournal Friends Pages

As you are most probably aware, Livejournal is the home of hundreds, perhaps even thousands of Role Play communities. Many of these communities have paid journals and bring a large amount of money and custom into Livejournal.

A number of the games play in 'real time', meaning that in those games, right now it is the 1st September, and tomorrow shall be the 2nd. Therefore, they frequently find themselves up against the problem of time zones. Role Players come from all around the world and often, synchronising posting is near impossible.

Simply changing the timestamp of an entry is not enough; regardless, the posts will be in whatever order the users post them in - not always the correct order.

As a concequence they often find themselves wishing that the backdating option functioned on the Livejournal friends page, since that is the page usually used by Role Play Games for following the process of the game. Currently, when an entry is backdated it disappeares off the friends page and is only viewable on the journal page.

This petition is to request the addition of backdating into the Livejournal friends page so that it becomes easier for such communities to operate.
