First, we would like to extend our best regards to the BBC World Service for its service to Somali people for many decades. Secondly, being very concerned members of Sool, Sanaag and Hawd regions of Somalia allow us to bring to the following to the attention of the world media: Dahabshiil Turned BBC World Services into An Extension of Radio Hargeisa. The balance and the impartiality of BBC World Service Somali News has ended because of Dahabshiil's subtle financial ties with BBC World Services. The Dahabshiil's involvement in the programs released from the BBC World Service has turned it to an extension of radio Hargeisa, WHICH IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY SOMALILAND (the self-declared break-away sub-clan based Western and part of Togdheer regions of Somalia). The BBC declined to have an impartial news anchors in any part of Somalia that the "self-declared" breakaway of Somaliland wishes not to be heard and seen . The extended hand of the self-declared Somaliland in the BBC World Service is Dahabshiil Financial Service. Good examples of the regions that are under "news blackout from BBC" include Sool, Sanag, and Hawd area. These regions are inhabited by the true and historic vanguards of the UNITY OF SOMALIA and against any kind of dis-memberance of Somalia in any way and method. The un-official and behind the scene informal arrangements and contacts between Dahabshiil and BBC World Service (Somali Branch) staff did pass and the "news black-out" remain operative for a long while. Interestingly, they got their hands out of the gloves when Mohamed Ibrahim Egal’s clique in Hargesia announced the bogus and illegal Referendum Vote. You should be all fully aware that “Somaliland” has no fabric of a nation and is nothing but a clan material, did, and will do any means possible to get-away with.... How long will the BBC World Service, Somali branch plans to be the mouth-piece for a small sub-clan in two regions who want to break-away from their parent nation when the rest of the world are scrapping their existing boundaries? Is the BBC a tool driven by financial gains to be used, openly and blindly, against Somalia when this East African poor nation needed a fair media representation the most in its history? How could the regions Sool, Sanag, and Hawd come out of the" news blackout" engineered by the so-called Somaliland through Dahabshiil Financial? The people of Sool, Sanag, and Hawd need answers from the BBC World Services and would like to see the matters resolved professionally. Waiting to see BBC World Service apologize for its shortfall and take the necessary action to rectify this drastic un-fair treatment to the people of Somalia in general and particularly those who knows better future for all Somalis is in ONE SOMALIA ONLY!Sincerely yours,
