Young artist Emily Andrews was arrested and fined for painting Be Excellent To Each Other on the Queen St. Sidewalk (Niagara Falls). When she went to court to appeal her fine, the arresting officer did not show up. Instead of throwing the case out which is the normal procedure when the officer does not show up, the judge sided with the prosecuter and decided that in the name of justice, and because this is a serious enough offence, the trial should be postponed to a later date. Emily faces a $365 fine and the Prosecution is seeking a higher fine.

This is a petition to the judge, the prosecution as well as to city council and the mayor that Emily's fine should be reduced or her case should be thrown out.
