The Boy Scouts of America are approaching the 95th anniversary of their congressional charter. Californians appreciate and acknowledge the service, loyalty, support, and generosity provided by members of this wonderful organization. Members, whether they are Adult Leaders, Scouting Professionals, Boy Scouts, Scouters, Explorers, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Lone Scouts, or Cub Scouts, volunteer their time and expertise to help shape the youth of today and the leaders of tomorrow. The undersigned hereby respectfully ask Senators Boxer and Feinstein, and members of the California State Congress to pass a resolution that acknowledges, recognizes, appreciates, and supports the Boy Scouts of America, its members, and the service it provides. We also ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to ask scouts to a briefing during which Boy Scouts from all divisions across the state will give a "State of the Scouts Address" detailing the services Boy Scouting has provided to the communities and the youth of California, and the services that members of the Boy Scouts of America will continue to provide.
