Social structure in India is based on castes, which plays a pivotal role right from the beginning to end. This multistory building, without any window and door is standing on the foundation of superiority, some are implicit great, esteemed and of high value by virtue of birth, while others are predestined as odious, errant and evil. This inhuman system based on inequality and exploitation gave rise to never-ending social conflicts. Those against the system of inequality has put in ferocious efforts to break this age old structure, on the other hand its practitioners have left no stone unturned to maintain the status quo ensuing in mass-murder, rape or arson in one part or the other of the country.

Captivatingly, supreme adversary to this colossal glutinous circle is inter- caste marriages. With the beginning of a marriage on mutual consent the basic structure of this system seems to crumple, inequity starts making space for egalitarianism. Either out of fear of ostracism, or on the name of honor, parents, brothers, or other members of the kin kills their children. If they dont than there are self style jaati Panchayats or Khaap Panchayats who decides for the whole caste, clan or society. The very system of equality and justice provided by our constitution is strangulated somewhere by Taliban style orders and commands of these Panchayat.

Whatever form of democracy, freedom, social- justice we have achieved is a result of struggles of thousands years. These blood thirsty clans and Panchayats embedded with tradition and feeling of superiority, not only believe in age old inhuman traditions based on inequality and exploitation but are trying to force them on todays modern and scientific age. This Taliban style functioning of Panchayats not only violates law of the land but also individual freedom, ones right to life with dignity, to choose her or his life partners. This is barbaric and moving backward.
