Cast Mark Valley as Cole Tracer, PI

We, the undersigned, urge you to cast Mark Valley as "Cole Tracer, PI" in the series of the same name being developed at your network. As reported by TV Guide: "ABC is developing Cole Tracer, P.I., about an actor famous for playing a private-eye deciding to become a real one after his series gets axed."

The casting of Mark Valley is inspired for many reasons. First, his casting would be meta in ways that would appeal to many young viewers, ages 18-30, who were great fans of FOX's late, lamented "Keen Eddie". Sure, he wasn't a private eye, per se, in "Keen Eddie," but think of all the goodwill you could engender bringing him back. Second, the very concept of the show with Mr. Valley would allow you a justified superiority over FOX as his series did get the axe unjustifiably. The writers could put in many well-deserved jabs. Third, your marketing department could have a field day with this as well. Ask them, you will see the gleam in their eyes. Finally, as Mr. Valley is already part of your network's stable at "Boston Legal", the contract negotiations could be simpler than usual.

However, all of this pales in the face of the true reason to cast Mr. Valley as Cole Tracer: the fact that is one of the best comic actors on television today. Seriously, review "Keen Eddie" and tell me you don't see it.
