Change the wildlife laws in Georgia

Section code 27-1-28 prohibits the collecting of any native non venomous snakes, terrestrial turtles and lizards in the State of Georgia. An annual $25 fishing/hunting license would be needed to collect any native venomous snake, native non venomous snake, turtles, lizards and amphibians. Reptiles and amphibians that are endangered would not be allowed to be collected.A set number on the amount of reptiles and aphibians would be 4 per day. Many people feel that the current scientific collecting fee of $50 is excessive and may discourage beneficial native research on native wildlife. With the above proposals perhaps this new revenue can be used to offset the reduction in scientific collecting fees. Help us in Georgia change the reptile laws so we can have corn snakes and many other native reptiles and amphibians.
