IN REGARDS TO CALIFORNIA'S CURRENT POLICIES/LAWS ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
Requesting the offense of domestic violence charges from misdemeanor to a felony, with a minimum starting sentence of 5 years jail time or more.
SPECIFICS (CLARIFICATIONS):
Harsher punishments to be sentenced to the guilty party; The change from a misdemeanor offense in all cases to a felony charge will allow the change to a longer sentence. The absolute minimum sentence for a first time offender should be 5 years jail time.
