Well, the city of West Memphis knows where its name comes from. The citizens of this city may have become attached to the name, but there are some things that you have to know. First, some people think we're actually just a part of Memphis and that this city is in Tennessee. Second, if you go by the local Popeye's the receipt you'll get will Say " West Memphis Tennessee." This city should have more heritage, we should rename the city on the person who founded West Memphis. We should rename it De Soto. After all Hernando De Soto founded this city.
