Choose Blu-ray and End the Format War

Dear high definition movie fans, please sign this petition in order to show your support for Blu-ray Disc as the preferred high definition medium and hopefully end the war between the competing Blu-ray and HD DVD formats. Warner Brothers made a wise decision when it chose to switch to Blu-ray exclusively. Let's show them our support while also showing the remaining HD-DVD exclusive movie studios, Universal & Paramount, that they too should switch to Blu-ray exclusively.

Blu-ray Disc boasts 5x the capacity of DVD and 66\% more capacity than HD DVD. Blu-ray Disc supports a higher video peak bit rate than HD-DVD, enabling the sharpest picture possible.

Over 170 leading companies support Blu-ray Disc. Major Hollywood movie studios supporting Blu-ray include Disney, Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, Sony, and Warner Bros. More of the top HDTV manufacturers produce Blu-ray players. These include Sony, Samsung, Phillips, Panasonic, Pioneer, LG, Sharp, and Hitachi. And four of the most innovative computer brands - Apple, Dell, HP, and Sony - support Blu-ray.

So please, sign this petition, and lets get as many votes as we can to show Warner Brothers and all of the other Blu-ray supporters that they made the right choice. Hopefully we can also persuade Universal, Paramount, Toshiba, and Microsoft to change their minds and switch their support to Blu-ray as the preferred high definition medium. For the high definition medium market to expand and outsell standard definition DVD we need to end the format war. We believe the clear winner is Blu-ray.
