Christian advertising in Pagan or Wiccan Yahoo Groups

This petition is a request to Yahoo! to disallow evangelical or Christian themed advertising banners or sponsor results in any group that falls under the categories of Pagan, Wicca or Witchcraft.

1. We the Undersigned feel that these advertising banners and sponsor results can create a hostile and negative environment in our groups when they are viewed on the website or attached to emails.

2. We request that these types of advertisements be disallowed in these specific groups in order to create a more welcoming environment for those who practice these earth-based faith traditions.

3. Precisely targeted ad campaigns are more effective, and we suggest that very few of the users of these groups are likely to be influenced by banner ads or text sponsor results that are generally by their very nature hostile to these earth-based faiths.

4. We define evangelical or Christian themed advertisements or sponsor results as those which specifically mention Jesus, the Bible, salvation, the gospel, or otherwise suggest that a person study or investigate the Christian religion.
