Many of us CLIE handheld users are aware that you refuse to relese API's for your handhelds, such as the Camera API and the Clie Audio API. For some people such as developers, this is extremely inconvient for they would like to use the API's to expand thier software. Two prime examples are the audio players PocketTunes and Aeroplayer. They have support for Ogg Vorbus and streaming MP3, and lots of other features. Not only would it be smart to release the API's for the developers but it would make your line of PDA's better for the customer demand. It is smart for you, smart for the competition among the PocketPC and PalmOne line of handhelds. If you notice, PocketPC has streaming video, webcams and WiFi strenght indicators. PalmOne has Ogg Vorbus, WiFi strength indiactors/finders, why can't our CLIE devices have these features? The CLIE line has the technology, we just need the API's to build the software. Please give us the resources to make the CLIE line better.

Opening up the APIs earlier might have made the Sony APIs the de-facto standard, but instead we now have 2 APIs for everything! It will only get worse until the APIs are opened as more developers build for Palm standard APIs and ignore Clie!
