*We the undersigned do not believe that the current board of Derby County Football Club have the capability to deliver the club from a dire financial situation.
*Though inheriting a large debt, they have allowed the overdraft to rise alarmingly.
*They have not sourced or injected any new capital in two years in charge.
*Recent events show that vital trust between club and fans is fast evaporating.
*They operate the club only through cuts and a repetitive process of selling off the club's assets, simply to service loan interest repayments.
*No plan to pay back capital loans from The Co-op Bank itself or the ABC Corporation is apparent.
*The 2003-04 accounts gave strong Auditors warnings about the clubs viability.
Pressure MUST be brought to bear upon the board of Derby County by the creditors and Co-op Bank to remove them from tenure.
New consortia want to step forward and rebuild the club. The Bank must now take every measure in your power to avoid the trauma of Administration it IS possible.
The Co-op Bank denied the chance for alternative consortia to buy Derby County when the Sleightholme group took control in October 2003. Now the reputation of the whole Co-op movement is being badly tarnished.
Please act NOW or you will be joint architects of the death of a once-great football club.
