This petition is a message to Comcast. We will not be held hostage to your upstream traffic shaping. You have begun a campaign to make it so that anyone using Peer to Peer technology can not easily or fruitfully upload if they are using P2P. This is a gross violation as to our rights as a consumer. Comcast is now making the assumption that anyone using P2P is a pirate and punishing them (read more about it here http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,18323368 ). Sites like legaltorrents.com, bt.etree.org, and other such legitimately legal file sharing sites will only be hurt by this traffic shaping. We will not stand for this. Comcast, cease this practice now or we will have no choice but to boycott you where acceptable by switching to Verizon, AT&T, RCN or whatever other options are available to us. Do not put us in bandwidth prison, instead try to come up with some sort of acceptable agreement.
