WHEREAS Betty Wilson is actually innocent of the crime for which she has been serving time at Alabamas Tutwiler Prison for Women for the past twelve (12) years; and
WHEREAS the States star witness recanted his testimony, but refused to appear before the judge after a visit by prosecutor Jimmy Fry; and
WHEREAS Betty's second Rule 32 petition has been denied, and
WHEREAS Betty has suffered enough and is in poor health,
We, the undersigned, hereby petition you to commute Bettys sentence to time served and allow her to go home to her grandchildren who have been deprived of having a loving grandmother to share their lives

I just saw the story of Ms. Wilson's plight on TV tonight (10.12.06). I am sorry to see what she has had to endure. She should be released IMMEDIATELY...AND GET A 6 MILLION DOLLAR SETTLEMENT AGAINST EVERY JUROR THAT CONVICTED HER ON ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE
