Dana College Should Stay in the GPAC

As proud graduates and/or supporters of Dana College, we find the idea of leaving the Great Plains Athletic Conference to be a bad decision. We find that the Great Plains Athletic Conference offers the highest level of competition in all sports and we as the Dana Community should strive to compete to be our very best; against the very best.
The idea of leaving the conference makes little sense fiscally due to the increase in travel and would not allow for keeping the rivalries that the Dana athletic program was founded on.
We believe that Dana College should strive to be their best by playing against the current high level of competition (in the GPAC) and not taking a step backward to play against lesser competition just so our win/loss records would look better.
Furthermore; we believe that anyone in the athletic department, administration or board of trustees who does not believe Dana College is capable of competing with the very best in the GPAC should not continue in their current capacity with the school.
We as graduates and/or supporters believe that our school can be the best; if those in charge do not then perhaps they should move on.
