In the USA a media giant has been created: CNN Time Warner. They control the news in both magazines & TV and also control a major portion of the films.
This is a very dangerous thing, and here in Canada Bell is quickly becoming a monopoly. They control our telephone and cell phone lines and have a huge portion of both Television (via satellite and now the new Fibe) and Internet (via Sympatico, WiFi, and now by the new Fibe).
They already own on TV: CTV, Bravo, TSN, RDS and a host of others. In Radio they already have Virgin and TSN.
It is time to stop Monopolies from being created. The danger is too high and just as an immediate fallout this sale would force Bell to drop an English language radio station from their programming and at the moment that victim appears to be Team 990 TSN, which could become RDS its French counterpart (this due to CRTC laws)
DO NOT LET THE MONOPOLY OF WHAT GETS INTO YOUR HOME ALSO CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN SEE AND HEAR!
