Democracy for Wappinger

We the undersigned residents of Wappinger would like Joel Miller to debate Joel Tyner here in Wappinger at a forum open to the public and moderated by a nonpartisan group such as the League of Women Voters-- so that we ourselves can ask questions of both and so make a better decision about who should represent us in the NYS Assembly.

Note: Joel Tyner has been handing out individualized hard copies of this petition to everyone he knows in each of the six towns since the beginning of July-- well before Helen Westover entered the race. It's fine with Tyner if Westover is also at these debates (this is up to debate organizers)-- but Tyner's primary purpose with this petition drive is to make sure that Miller himself actually comes to a public debate in each town in the 102nd Assembly district. The voters, citizens, and taxpayers deserve this-- and there are only six towns in the district (Town of Poughkeepsie, Wappinger, Fishkill, LaGrange, Hyde Park, and Clinton).
