Petition to Defend Marriage in the State of Maryland
I stand in strong opposition to the efforts to redefine marriage in the state of Maryland through HB 55 and HB 175, Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Acts and in strong support of HB 963, Marylands Marriage Protection Act, which adds a new section to the Maryland Constitution to establish that a marriage between one man and one woman shall be the only domestic legal union valid or recognized in the State; and submitting the amendment to the qualified voters of the State for their adoption or rejection.
Marriage is a sacred institution of utmost importance to the family. Let Marylands citizens decide what is best for their families.
