Edgar Wright for FLCL

In the film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, director, Edgar Wright does something amazing. He incorporates the kinetic, high-octane style of comics and anime into a believable live action setting, that not only feels believable, but wholly necessary. All the while, his earnest reverence for "video game logic" is proudly shows throughout the movie.
What's important to note is that this has never been done before, to such perfection, in any film before this point.
Now, we (the undersigned) know this is a huge connection to make, but we implore you to consider this:
Edgar Wright would be perfect for directing a live action adaptation of FLCL (Fooly Cooly). The convergence of a believable (if complicated) love story, intense fight scenes, and over-the-top silliness would translate perfectly to the big screen under the hand of Mr. Wright. It has been shown that anime films can be successful if marketed correctly; even James Cameron is considering a live action anime adaptation, himself. So, there's no question that it's "in."
If you have not heard of FLCL, we implore you to -at the very least- youtube it. It is a visually and emotionally beautiful piece of art, and very little deserves Mr. Wright's talent more than this.
