We are shocked that Yahoo! allows the use of racial slurs in Yahoo! ID's.
A list of ID's beginning with the term "n1gger" may be found at: http://members.yahoo.com/interests?.oc=t&.sb=0&.id=n1gger&.fn=&.ln=&.em=&.kw=&.g=0&.ar=0&.st=0&.lo=
On March 19, 2006, this list contained 80 or more Yahoo! ID's, including the names "n1gger abortion is crimestoppers", "n1gger beater 101", "n1gger beater stick", "n1gger h4ter", "n1gger kicker KKK", "n1gger kill3r", and "n1ggers look best hanging". These references to beating, hunting and lynching African-Americans are offensive, insulting, and violent.
Yahoo! has profanity and ignore filters. However, these names pass through the profanity filter, and a poster's ID must be viewed at least once before being placed on ignore.
We demand that Yahoo! prohibit all use of the word "n1gger" in any Yahoo! ID, and that all threats of violence be eliminated from Yahoo! ID's.
