Whereas, nursing homes and assisted living facilities have seen a marked increase in violence and abuse, and
Whereas, current regulations fail to enforce necessary measures to end this abuse, and
Whereas, it would require minimal enforcement to greatly improve the efficacy of regulations, and
Whereas, the benefits would help the elderly of today and all future users of the system,
I, the Undersigned, urge the legislature to require enforcement of the legislation currently in effect over nursing homes and assisted living facilities in addition to a concerted future effort to create policies that will severely decrease the amount of elder abuse.
