End Smoking In PA Bars

For every two hours you spend in a smoke-filled environment such as a bar or nightclub, you are inhaling the equivalent of one pack of cigarettes in secondhand smoke.

For those who work in these environments for an eight-hour shift, they are inhaling the equivalent of four packs of cigarettes during their shift! This is extremely detrimental to their health, and something needs to be done about it!

This is the approach that the state of California took when banning cigarettes from all public places throughout the entire state. It was done to protect the workers.

There are far fewer smokers and tobacco-related illnesses in California now than there were just a few years ago. And businesses such as bars and nightclubs are doing better than ever.

Why don't our elected officials here in the state of Pennsylvania follow in the footsteps of California and enact a similar law in order to protect the health of people who patronize and work in bars and nightclubs? Do they not care about the health and well being of their residents? How do lobbyists from the tobacco industry control them so well?

By signing this petition, you're demanding your representatives to enact a law identical to California's which bans smoking in all bars and nightclubs, in order to protect the health and well being of those who work in such environments as well as those who frequent those establishments.

Take action, sign this petition, and your signatures will be forwarded to your elected officials in Pennsylvania. We can make a difference.
