Grape Vine Tent

PETITION TO ALLOW FOR A TEMPORARY TENT STRUCTURE AT LOCAL BUSINESSES SUCH AS THE GRAPE VINE.





TO: Mayor Tom Hyde, Trustees Greg Guido, Steve Stiller, Kristie Kazcmerek, Deb Herman, Eberhard Becker, Matt Huff and Building Inspector Frank DeSort.





We the undersigned petitioners completely disagree with the Village Boards adoption of the Ordinance which restricts the Grape Vines ability to operate seasonally. The Grape Vine Should be excluded from said Ordinance for the Following Reasons:

We the undersigned petitioners completely disagree with the Village Boards adoption of the Ordinance which restricts the Grape Vines ability to operate seasonally. The Grape Vine Should be excluded from said Ordinance for the Following Reasons:





The Grape Vine tent structure is already in place thereby grandfathered in (as well as Side Outs tent.) Following all village codes when erected.





1) The tent provides additional seating for at least part of the year in one of the areas finest restaurants.


2) The tent provides us the customers of the Grape Vine shelter from the elements and from insects.


3) The tent is professionally manufactured and installed, Safe, Secure and has a pleasant atmosphere.


4) The tent adds value to the community and additional tax revenues to the village.


5) Due to many media restaurant rating reviews, The GrapeVine brings many patrons from out of town which potentially brings additional revenue to other local businesses.


6) The village board should be a partner to the success of local businesses rather than an adversary to it.


7) Any village board member who voted for the ordinance and who does not honor this petition shall lose my support in any upcoming elections.
