Homosexuality Vs Murder

I am starting this petition on behalf of my friend who was fortunate enough to meet the love of his life, Daniel. I had never seen my friend happier than when he was with Daniel, whenever I spoke with him, every other word was "Daniel"...they had planned to spend the rest of their lives together. On April 29, 2003 my friend lost Daniel forever because three homophobic men decided to remedy the world of this "sinner"...this "Social Disease." They murdered him because he was gay and we are 100\% certain that if my friend had been there they would have murdered him too. They called themselves religious and told everyone homosexuality is a sin...and what I don't understand is if they think homosexuality is such a sin, how could they murder someone? Even in the Bible the Ten Commandments says "Thou shalt not kill" though it never says "Thou shalt not be gay." They call themselves religious but don't seem to understand the phrase "Judge not lest ye be judged." What I'd like to achieve with this petition is more fitting justice for the murderers who don't realise they are taking people's lives and affecting the lives of so many others...these three men got five years in prison...one already got paroled. They got a slap on the wrist because they claimed to be doing something in the name of God, which otherwise would send someone else to get a lethal injection. Perhaps eventually people will realise we need acceptance more than anything and that taking a life is not a cure for anything.
