HUMAN RIGHTS FOR FAKHRAVAR

The Honorable Secretary General and Representatives of the United Nations

Ladies and Gentlemen members of the Commission on Human Rights and Amnesty International:


As you are aware, the Totalitarian Islamic fundamentalism, religious hegemony or political Islam and its philosophy has had a terrible effect on the thoughts and lives of the people of the world especially the oppressed, freedom seeking people of Iran during the last twenty five years.

One of the chief effects of this oppression has been the suffocation of the most basic and universal rights of freedom of thought and freedom of speech at the hands of the Islamic Republic in Iran.

Whereas; the recognition of equal rights for all the members of the human race form the basis for freedom, justice and peace throughout the world,

And, based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was first declared by the ancient Persian Monarch, Cyrus the Great; all members of the human race are born free. They are all created equal with the ability to think and the right of self expression and thus obligated to treat each other in the spirit of brotherhood of mankind, and,

Whereas all human beings are endowed with the right to life and pursuit of happiness and,

Whereas, no one should be subjected to torture or punishment or any other form of human oppression or indignation for simply expressing their thoughts. And,

Since any human being subjected to such heinous acts violated at the hands of tyrants has the right to appeal and ask for justice and since the member nations of the United Nations have committed to following the precepts of this Universal Declaration of Human rights in securing respect for and guarantee of basic freedoms for all within the frame of the United Nations, Therefore:

We, the freedom seeking Iranians with hearts full of hope extend our urgent request to you to help free a young imprisoned Iranian who has never committed a crime. His only crime in the eyes of the tyrants of the Islamic Republic in Iran is expressing his thoughts on Freedom.

This young man is Amir Abbas Fakhravar (Siavash). According to the verdict by the Islamic Republic, is sentenced to serve eight years of the most productive period in hid life behind bars at the horrifying dungeons of the Islamic Republic suffering from physical and psychological torture. Eight golden years of his life, which can be spent, in elevating the image of Iran and Iranians is instead spent behind bars.

Amir Abbas Fakhravar has already lost four years of his most productive life and this loss cannot be reversed. Four lost years cannot be returned to him. To add to his enormous pain, Amir Abbas recently lost his father in an automobile accident!! He is mourning the loss of his father behind bars and at the same time is terribly worried about the well being and care for his elderly mother, four young sisters and his two brothers.

Amir Abbas Fakhravar, this young freedom seeking Iranian has never committed a crime and his only crime in the eyes of the tyrants of the Islamic Republic in Iran is his desire to fight for freedom for his fellow Iranians. Even in prison, he has always demonstrated his responsible and peaceful character.

In the name of humanity, and following the charter and principles of your organizations in defending and upholding the most basic rights of human beings and in line with promoting social justice for all human beings,

We urge you to do all in your ability and take appropriate action to help free this young man.

With the hope that your names will be recorded in the history of the Free Iranian People in a free Iran and in a not so distant future, as those who stood up not only for upholding the charter of your respective organizations but also securing freedom for a young man who has never committed a crime, has lost his father, is responsible for the well being of his family is spending time behind bars at the dungeons of the Islamic Republic in Iran.
