In support of the redevelopment of Boundary Park

It is important that the football club becomes self-sufficient, and therefore new revenue streams must be created in order for the club to move forward. The redevelopment of the stadium would go a long way to achieving this aim.
Building a new stadium is very expensive, and is only possible by raising revenue through residential development on some of the Boundary Park site. Without this residential development the stadium could not be redeveloped.
The new stadium would provide about 1,000 new jobs for the Borough. It would also provide conference and banqueting facilities currently sadly lacking in the town. There is also provision for a quality hotel another facility urgently required in the area.
We therefore show our support for the plans which have been submitted in order to make Oldham Council aware of the backing that exists throughout the Borough, and have signed our names below in support of applications PA/053016/07 and PA/053017/07 submitted on 26th March 2007.
