Over the years of experience in working closely with the government primary schools, we have seen that English as a subject from their younger years is very essential for the present competitive world, the various advantages of having English introduced into the syllabus are
1. Job opportunities for the children coming out of school increases in this global environment.
2. Children passing out of the primary schools can have more confidence in joining high schools/universities that are in English medium too.
3. This change alone will help reduce the gap between the private schools and our government schools, in terms of the parents views, community views etc.
4. At present many poor people, who cannot afford two square meals today send their children to some small convent schools only for a very simple reason that they promise English in the first few classes.
