My dog vanished in the woods. 4 hours later & 2 miles away a dead dog was seen on the A1 but the body was removed and incinerated before I got to see it by 5pm on the same day - some 300 + dogs were incinerated in this manner last year on the A roads alone. No one checked for a micro chip. If we as dog owners must identify our dogs with tags, chips or tattoos then those taking away bodies must be made to check them for a chip.
