Justice @ Jimmy John's

We, the undersigned members of the Champaign-Urbana community request that our corporate neighbor, 'Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches', and its proprietor Mr. Jimmy John Liautaud behave responsibly and take a stand in favor of workers' rights and human rights.

Mr. Jimmy John Liautaud's complacent support of union-busting tactics from his franchise owners, and his active support (via campaign donations) of Arizona's racial profiling law, SB 1070, is wrong.

We stand in solidarity with the Jimmy John's Workers Union and Arizona's Latina/o community. We ask that Mr. Jimmy John Liautaud support workers' rights by letting his Minneapolis franchise owner, Miklin enterprises, know that their union busting tactics will not be tolerated. We further ask that Mr. Jimmy John Liautaud support human rights by ceasing to donate to pro-SB170 politicians in Arizona and making a clear statement that he is opposed to all pro-racial profiling legislation.
