We, the signers of this petition, propose that the Kansas City Zoo located in Kansas City, Missouri, not be a part of the budget crisis resolution. We believe the KC Zoo is a fundamental part of everybody's childhood, and this zoo needs to remain open and fully operational. The Mayor, Mark Funkhouser, should keep his eyes on the problems that truly need a look at, the KC Zoo is not one of them.

when i was younger the KC zoo was the hip place to be. I will take my kids to this zoo as long as its still around. it pains me to know that one day this zoo might not be here, and all my childhood memories will be lost to me kids, grandkids, and so forth
