The following is a petition for one request for the Britney team and management-

a) Keep fans more informed by releasing statements from Britney when things (such as tour cancellations) occur

Britney Spears fans are true fans. Fans which have shown that they will remain fans through everything and anything that takes place in her career. However it is the belief of the undersigned that as fans, Britney should make statements about current affairs to keep fans informed.

When Britney injured her knee and canceled her recent Onyx Hotel tour, it was Jive, not Britney, who released a statement almost a week after the injury. On the Britney.com website on one instance, it was posted the tour was Postponed- then two hours later that was taken down. Finally, after days of wondering, no explanation was given except that the tour is canceled due to a knee injury. There was no statement from Britney- just that of jive. And this has been an ongoing pattern for the past few years. To top it off, the Britney Spears fan club has given fans almost no information before the news becomes public- no cancellation information. No knee injury information. Nothing. Only after the news became public has the exclusive fan club shown any updates at all.

We understand she needs her private life; and to be honest the undersigned believes that private matters SHOULD be kept private in Spears life. However, this petition is requesting Britney to at least make some sort of effort to show fans she truly cares about them by saying something. Basically, the undersigned would like Britney to take a true interest in her fan base again.

As true Britney fans, it would be nice to have our girl from Louisiana show us shes thinking about us a bit. Keep the fans informed of things such as why she is canceling the best tour of the summer and how she feels after the injury. It is the belief of this petition that if she did this many rumors would simply cease to exist. The conjuring up of information in the Britney fan base would simply not be there- and there would be a much greater sense of what being a Britney fan is truly all about.

Britney and mainly Britneys management- we request that you KEEP US MORE INFORMED. Keep your websites updated with up-to-date information about not only things in your life, but basic information such as tour cancellations and member kits (in the fan club website). Britney, show us you care.
