Keep Katie Holmes away from "The Dark Knight"

This petition is to keep Katie Holmes out of or into a very small part in "The Dark Knight" Christopher Nolans next Batman film. In the previous movie "Batman Begins" Katie Holmes played the part of Gotham city District Attorney Rachel Dawes.

While the part of Rachel Dawes was an essential one for the film and the journey of Bruce Wayne into Batman, I and the undersigned believe she was not the right actress for the part. A much better actress could have been cast in the role.

The part of Rachel Dawes was written well. She was intelligent, enduring, and hopeful and a triumphant character you could truly care about. Yet Katie Holmes was miscast in this role, and in so doing brought the entire quality of the movie down.

The rest of the movie featured an all star cast that in some cases deserved much more than the small part they had. Yet putting those smaller great actors in the film, it filled it out on a deeper level. Some of those actors include but are not limited to: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanbe, Mark Boone Junior, Linus Roache, and last but certainly not least Morgan Freeman.

Please sign this petition if you did not enjoy Katie Holmes in "Batman Begins" and would NOT like her to return for "The Dark Knight", or only for a much smaller role in "The Dark Knight".
