Keep the Beach
Petition to Maintain Rash Field for Use by Baltimore Beach

My signature represents my strong feeling that Baltimore Beach should be included by Baltimore Development Corp. in any future plans for Rash Field (including turning this valued urban green space into a parking facility), as it provides a valuable resource for Baltimore area residents and visitors alike. In signing this petition, I certify that I am a Baltimore area resident who supports the initiative to maintain Rash Field for future use by the Department of Parks and Recreations partner Baltimore Beach and the citizens of the greater Baltimore area.

INFORMATION ABOUT BALTIMORE BEACH
Baltimore Beach is an athletic organization founded six years ago to provide citizens of Baltimore and surrounding areas a weekly interactive recreation facility right in our own Inner Harbor, specifically Rash Field. One thousand tons of sand forming seven competition-class nets and a Trapeze School are enjoyed by over 16,000 participants every summer, numbers that have politicians and media proclaiming Baltimore Beach to be the largest inner-city metropolitan volleyball league on the East Coast. An establishment that has created events for the Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, Waterfront Festival, Forth of July Celebration, International Olympic Committee not to mention an ongoing working relationship with Baltimores Department of Parks and Recreation, Sail Baltimore, and The Office of Promotion and the Arts, to name a few.
