Legal Action Against Lyric and Tablature Websites

We, the Undersigned, officially petition The US Music Publishers' Association (MPA), due to their recent decision to take legal action against websites offering song scores, tablature and lyrics. We believe that the lyrics and tablature posted on these web sites is the lone opinion of the person(s) who posted them, and should not be illegal under any circumstances. The opinions of these people does not obligate copyright infringement nor are they unauthorized become they are the sole statement of the person who interpreted it. Therefore, we believe that the people of the Music Publishers' Association should not take legal action against websites hosting tablature and lyrics.
