Light Bar Petition - Placement on Vehicles

The Western Australian Government have just introduced a regulation banning the installation of LED Light Bars on the standard mounting positions on 4WD's. This means that you can no longer have them mounts on the front of the turrett (roof) on the rear of the roof or on the top of a BullBar. Light bars are designed to throw light over a long distance and hence need to be mounted high on a vehicle to accomodate the throw. The new regulations are forcing the mounting to be within the bullbar, eliminating the ability to mount long light bars and hence also restricting the distance the light will throw. This has implications also for interstate vehicles who enter WA with these bars mounted in the newly restricted places on their vehicles. Basically your vehicle will be illegally driving as soon as it crosses the border. Its only a matter of time before our rights will be restricted in other states also, as this revenure raising idea from non-sensical governments spreads. Lets make a stand for our own rights and also to send a message as a community that we will not tolerate such garbage from those who we elect to work for us.
