Please accept this letter as a petition for DeJuan Wheat to have his jersey retired and hang from the rafters at the KFC Yum! Center. In four years at the University of Louisville, Wheat was 2nd all-time in scoring (2,183 points), 4th all-time in assists (498), 2nd all-time in most three-point goals made (323), and 5th all-time in steals (204). He was the first player in NCAA history to post over 2,000 points, 450 assists, 300 made three-point field goals, and 200 steals. UofL won 95 games during his four year career, going to 2 Sweet Sixteens and one Elite Eight. His senior year, he was honored as an AP Honorable Mention All-American, Second Team Sporting News All-American, and Third Team NABC All-American.
