We, the undersigned, urge Santa Clarita Mayor Marsha McLean to boycott the Dunamis Group Mayor's Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 3 in light of recent revelations that the keynote speaker at the event has antiquated and biased views against women and Catholics that are not representative of Santa Clarita's residents.
If Mayor McLean must attend the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, we urge her to also attend the Santa Clarita Interfaith Council National Day of Prayer meeting also held on Thursday at noon at Santa Clarita City Hall. Interfaith Council membership is inclusive and welcoming to people of all faiths in the Santa Clarita Valley.
