Move Bryan Station Basketball Games Back Home

To Whom This May Concern:

The Bryan Station basketball teams have experienced great prosperity, adversity and growth over the past three years without a home gym to play or practice in. Supporting Bryan Stations team is difficult, as we the fans must find transportation for home games all across the state. Instead of using other schools to house our home games, we could use our new building to promote the schools Defender Pride. Though there has been opposition to having home basketball games due to parking issues and the demolition of the old building, students have placed their faith in the administrations ability to solve these issues. Our administration has done all they can to bring games back home, but it hasnt been enough any support for our school by others would be greatly appreciated by the Bryan Station community.

For the first time since the football team participated in the State Championship in 1999, the student body has an extra curricular activity to feel passionate about. Bryan Station High School needs these games to help bring the school pride and attitude back up and improve the schools image. Students have handled the burden of having home games across the state for the past two years. By showing your support, you can help the students move these basketball games back to their rightful place, which is at OUR school.
For the past two years, the Bryan Station Boys basketball team has been ranked in the states Top 25. The team has risen to be a state contender and regained the Bryan Station basketball tradition of dominance. Starting next semester, we will be settling into our new school, and the basketball teams are entitled to play home games at their home school in order to receive the full student support that they deserve. Bringing the home games back to Bryan Station will encourage school pride

We understand there is the issue of parking and demolition of the old school building. Parking for basketball has emerged as a reason for not playing at Bryan Station, but there will be a parking lot that teachers and students will be using during second semester. In addition, there will be parking around the new school, parking at the football stadium, and parking at the middle school. Aside from parking, the demolition of the old school has become another reason to not have home games at Bryan Station. From what students have gathered, the demolition will not begin until March, and the last home game is February 23. If the students can walk to the new building from the football stadium and it be considered safe, then supporters of the basketball team can do the same.

Basketball games are not the only positive events happening. Bryan Station will be hosting the Governors Cup and the Fayette County Science Fair in the new building. Why not add basketball games to the agenda? Fayette County has stressed, Its About Kids. Well, this is about the kids of Bryan Station. Please support the students, support the administration, and support Bryan Station. Help us move basketball games back to Bryan Station. Thank you for your time and support.
