NFL FANS UNITE - We the undersigned fans of NFL and the customers of NFL products have made a pledge to not purchase any NFL merchandise, tickets or subscription programming for a period of 2 years (24 months) if a single regular season game is canceled due to an NFL lockout.
If the NFL team owners and the NFL players association cannot figure an equitable way to share the revenues bestowed upon them by their loyal fans, it should be taken away. This is no different than taking a toy away form two spoiled children who cannot figure out a way to share. The NFL has risin to popularity and has an abundance of wealth to share. If having too much money to split up is the problem, let this be the solution.
Further, we the undersigned will not purchase any products advertised during games and we will boycott any product that declares itself the official sponsor of the NFL. This additional pressure should give the league's owners, players and officials to strike a compromise that does not come at the expense of its loyal fans.
NFL OWNERS - If your franchise is not making you rich enough, SELL IT! There are plenty of potential owners/investment firms who would love to own an NFL franchise.
NFL PLAYERS - Stay vigilant but remain open to negotiation. No one wins in a lockout.
NFL FANS - Pass along this petition to anyone and everyone who you feel would be negatively impacted by a lockout. We can be vigilant and refrain from buying NFL licensed and/or endorsed products for 2 years. WE are the customers and should be treated with the respect that we deserve.
