Current law in Illinois states that it is illegal to leave a child unattended/alone in a vehicle for 10 minutes or longer. We, The Undersigned, believe our children need better protection from those adults who would leave a child alone in a vehicle for any amount of time. The current law puts children at great risk of harm and imminent danger, and threatens their lives. We demand that our lawmakers change this law to state that no child, under any circumstances, is to be left unattended/alone in any vehicle AT ALL.
