No Vista!

DRM has no value for the consumer. Despite the potential for lowering prices by controlling piracy, DRM actually costs an upfront REAL price on the off-hand chance of that future savings.

Essentially DRM is a measure to sell you less than what you actually paid for, less than what you've always gotten for the same price, and to control your purchases as though they were never YOURS in the first place.

Windows Vista has clearly shown the "benefit" of DRM by reducing the quality of your media, preventing you from doing a very many legal things, and charging the price to you in a high percentage of your computer's processing cycles as well as requiring a far higher level of hardware (and specialized to the DRM purpose to boot) than would otherwise safely and effectively let you do whatever it is you're using your computer to do.

As a conscientious person, as a law-abiding citizen, as a consumer who wants to get what I pay for rather than some random configuration of bits which may or may not work at some corporate whim, I hereby refuse to ever use, recommend, or utilize in any way, Microsoft Vista.

By standing together we may be able to at least send the message to one of our worlds vastly over-bearing corporate sledgehammers that we won't take it!

Business, copyright, law, all these things are for the good of the common man. If they aren't doing their job, they're invalid, and Windows Vista is one of the most violent, largest violations of the ideals of basic humanity.

Microsoft, we're your customers, not Sony, not Warner, not AOL, not Apple, none of what these companies wants is of any significance if it doesn't, in the end, benefit US.
